A fast-growing centralised crypto derivatives exchange, known for deep liquidity, competitive fees, and a global trading community across 400+ pairs, is hiring a Senior BD Manager to drive trading volume growth across the CIS and Southeast Asian markets, with an immediate focus on CIS (priority) and Malaysia.
The successful candidate will own KOL acquisition and activation end-to-end — from first contact through to ongoing relationship management — while also building and scaling affiliate-driven retail growth in their region. This is a senior individual contributor role suited to someone who has already done this at a CEX and can hit the ground running.
What the role involves
- Owning and growing trading volume in the assigned region through KOL partnerships, affiliate programmes, and BD-led community initiatives
- Identifying, approaching, and closing relationships with high-impact KOLs — crypto influencers, trading communities, and content creators with proven conversion track records
- Leveraging an existing network to accelerate onboarding, bringing in fellow BDs, KOLs, and partners with established trust
- Developing and executing region-specific go-to-market strategies, adapting global BD playbooks to local market dynamics
- Representing the exchange at regional events, meetups, and within key community channels
- Working closely with Product, Marketing, and Compliance to structure competitive partnership terms
What's required
- Several years of BD experience at a centralised exchange (CEX), with a demonstrable track record in trading volume or partnership outcomes
- Proven specialisation in KOL acquisition and affiliate programme management — origination and deal-closing, not just relationship maintenance
- An existing network in the target region: KOLs, BD counterparts, community leads, or trading groups with active, activatable relationships
- Based in the target market — CIS or Malaysia (no relocation considered)
- Comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy and ownership in a lean, fast-moving team

- Demonstrated ability to build a sub-team or bring in talent from a prior network
- Active in the local crypto trading community — personally as well as professionally
