Job Summary

The company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Social Media Manager to join its team and lead its social media strategy in the rapidly evolving Web3 and blockchain sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, managing, and growing the company's online presence across various platforms, with a focus on engaging communities, amplifying brand messages, and driving awareness for its clients’ projects. This role requires a deep understanding of Web3-specific trends, decentralized technologies, and the unique dynamics of crypto communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy Development: The Social Media Manager will design and implement comprehensive social media strategies tailored to Web3 and blockchain projects, aligning with overall marketing goals to increase brand visibility and community engagement.
  • Content Creation: They will develop and curate high-quality, engaging content for platforms such as Twitter (X), Discord, Telegram, Reddit, and LinkedIn, ensuring relevance to Web3 audiences (e.g., memes, AMAs, project updates, and educational content about blockchain technology).
  • Community Engagement: The role involves actively managing and growing online communities by responding to comments, moderating discussions, and fostering a positive and inclusive environment for crypto enthusiasts, investors, and developers.
  • Trend Monitoring: They will stay ahead of Web3 and crypto-specific trends, including NFT launches, DeFi protocols, DAO governance, and metaverse developments, to create timely and relevant content that positions the company and its clients as thought leaders.
  • KOL and Influencer Collaboration: The Social Media Manager will identify and collaborate with Web3 influencers and KOLs to amplify campaign messages, coordinating Twitter Spaces, AMAs (Ask Me Anything), and other interactive events.
  • Campaign Management: They will plan and execute social media campaigns for token launches, airdrops, staking programs, and other blockchain initiatives, ensuring alignment with project roadmaps and community expectations.
  • Analytics and Reporting: The role requires monitoring social media metrics using tools like Twitter Analytics, Discord bots, and third-party platforms to track engagement, sentiment, and growth, as well as providing regular reports with actionable insights to optimize strategies.
  • Crisis Management: They will handle potential PR crises within the Web3 space, such as FUD (Fear, Uncertainty, Doubt) in communities, by crafting transparent and strategic communications to maintain trust.
  • Platform Innovation: The Social Media Manager will experiment with emerging platforms and tools relevant to Web3 (e.g., Lens Protocol, decentralized social networks) to keep the company at the cutting edge of social media trends.

Web3-Specific Requirements

  • Blockchain Knowledge: The candidate must have a strong understanding of blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies, NFTs, DeFi, DAOs, and other Web3 concepts to create authentic and credible content for specialized audiences.
  • Community Dynamics: They should be familiar with the unique culture and communication styles of Web3 communities, including slang (e.g., “WAGMI,” “NGMI”), memes, and the importance of transparency and decentralization in messaging.
  • Decentralized Platforms: Experience or willingness to engage with decentralized social media platforms and tools that are gaining traction in the Web3 ecosystem is essential.
  • Tokenomics Awareness: The ability to communicate token utility, governance models, and economic incentives in a way that resonates with community members is required.
